Virtue: CASTITAS ET PATIENTIA; Chastity and Patience

a) Christ as pantocrator in power and glory (Matthew 24:29-44; 25:31-46; Rev. 20:11-15)

Circumscription: Tempus erit luctus dum poscunt horrea fructus
"It will be a time of grief when the barns demand the harvest"

Comment: Angels hold two banners announcing preparations for the day of judgment based on Matthew 13: 30 "...and in the time of harvest I will say to the reapers, Gather ye together first the tares, and bind them in bundles to burn them: but gather the wheat into my barn."

b) Angels awaken the dead with trumpet music (Matthew 24:30)

Circumscription: Nos tuba quando ciet tunc quod cinis est caro fiet
"At the call of the trumpet ashes will turn flesh"

c) The dead arise (Daniel 12:2; Ezekiel 37:12; John 5:28-29)

Circumscription: Quam manet occulta lanx surgit turba sepulta
"Hidden scales (of justice) await the people leaving their graves"
